Litha are delighted to be a part of a very special night of music this February celebrating the 25th Anniversary of luthier Heiner Dreizehnter. Those of you who know Juergen and Aaron will know that they have both toured and recorded with beautiful instruments made by Heiner for several years now.
The 'Jubiläums-Konzert' will include performances by Litha, Jens Kommmnick, Ulrich Uhland Warnecke and Robby Ballhause and will take place in Lutherhaus, Osnabrück at 20:00 on Thursday 12th February. Heiner will be there in person with several of his instruments which will be on exhibit from 18:00 and throughout the concert.
It is sure to be a great evening of music and craic and a fitting celebration of the work of one of German's finest luthiers. See you there!
We are delighted to be back out on the road again in Germany this November and whilst Claire remains in Scotland to look after the new addition to the Litha clan, we welcome back the brilliant Steffen Gabriel who will deputise for Claire on flutes, whistles and cold beers. Aaron and Steffen have signed up to participate in 'Movember' and will attempt to raise as much money as possible while on the road this month for Prostate Cancer Research. For the entire month of November they will remain unshaven in an attempt to grow as impressive a moustache or 'Mo' as possible by the close of play on 30th November. If you'd like to donate or read more about 'Movember' and the battle against Prostate Cancer then follow the link below. Thanks you for taking the time to donate.
Hello! We hope you are all enjoying the summer. We're all currently out on the road with our other projects OR back in Scotland changingnap pies! For updates on what's keeping us busy this summer visit the Cara website here or Aaron's website here.
Due to Claire's pregnancy on our last tour in Germany in May we were joined by the brilliant Steffen Gabriel on flutes, whistles and backing vocals. A huge thank you to him and to our tech 'Kirschti' for their music, hard work and craic on the trip! During the set we performed a beautiful waltz written by Steffen which remained unnamed throughout the tour. We're delighted to reveal that following the birth baby Caitlin, Steffen decided to christen the tune 'Caitlin's Waltz'. You can hear our version of the tune here by clicking the link below.
We'll get back to you soon about our pans for touring in November and let you know how our summers on the road and in the studio have been.
Travel safe and enjoy the summer!
Litha are delighted to announce that at 21:09pm on Thursday 29th May, Claire and Aaron had a beautiful wee daughter weighing in at 5lb 4oz. Caitlin Hooper Jones and Claire are doing great and the whole family are enjoying being home and getting to know each other.
Aaron and Claire would like to extend huge thanks to everyone who has contacted us to pass on their well wishes and an even bigger thank you to all those who have sent such lovely cards, clothes and gifts. Claire is enjoying getting back to all the foods she wasn't allowed during pregnancy and Aaron is loving getting to know his new wee girl.
Aaron and Claire would also like to extend a huge thank you to fantastic musician friend Steffen Gabriel who dedicated a beautiful waltz he had written to Caitlin. Look out for 'Caitlin's Waltz' on future recordings and at our concerts!

We wrap up 2013 after our traditional november tour through Germany. It's been a good year for us with three tours in Germany/Switzerland and one in the USA.
We've enjoyed our time together, as always. It was great fun to play in all the various venues - theatres with chandeliers and red velvet seats, concerts halls, churches, a jazz club, a barn and even a pub - to name but a few ;)
We recently returned from a tour of the USA touring the USA from east to west and performing in Connecticut, Maryland, New York, Massachusetts, California and Oregon. We met up with lots of great friends and made some new ones along the way. The band would like to extend a huge thank you to all the friends and fans who came to see us and bought our CD's. Thanks too to all the promoters, sound technicians and lighting techs who helped make the shows such a success.
Did you know that we share 96.4% of our DNA with Orangutans? Sumatran Orangutans are one of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom, but they are in big trouble due to the massive rate of deforestation - there are just 6,600 left in the wild. Aaron wanted to do something to help, so he signed up to grow a beard for Ape-ril, in solidarity with our red-haired relatives! Growing a beard is something that all apes can do, and what’s a bit of an itchy chin between cousins?
It would be great if you would consider sponsoring Aaron AND sharing his page on Facebook and Twitter.
